BLOOMING AND STILL GROWING

Since 2011, Rustic Roots Floral Design has been creating bespoke designs for unique weddings across the United States. With an emphasis on a lush garden style, Rustic Roots helps bring the finishing touch to complete the ambiance of weddings of any size. Jalisca Thomason is the owner and principal designer of Rustic Roots Floral Design. Over the past decade, Jalisca has worked with and been trained by industry giants in the world of luxury design. She is a proponent of sustainable design methods, and frequently experiments with new techniques to reduce the carbon footprint of floristry. In addition to design, Jalisca is also a professor at a local college in the area of forestry and natural resources. She grows many of the unique feature blooms used in her bridal bouquets, such as tuberose, veronica, dahlias, and peonies right next to the studio. She has extensive knowledge and experience in the mechanics behind creating large scale installations and also in maintaining the best quality of blooms for your event.

I am now garden rose certified through Alexandra Farms! They are the world’s largest grower of garden roses, and they partnered with Holly Chapple to create a program for florists to elevate their garden rose knowledge and design skills.

Garden roses are unique from other types of roses. They are fragrant and come in gorgeous blends of colors. There’s a reason they are so popular for weddings! These unique flowers need special care to make sure they are arranged at the peak of their beauty.

Ask me anything you want to know about garden roses, and I’ll be happy to answer!
